Fiesta Night Dances into SRU

Updated: Oct 1, 2019

The Office of Inclusive Excellence, The Hispanic Latino Cultures Planning Committee, and SOL came together to host the annual Hispanic Fiesta night on Wednesday in the ballroom. The event featured a band, food provided by AVI, crafts, a photo booth, and lots of dancing.

Ignasio Cisneros kicks off the event with some opening remarks about Hispanic Heritage Month and Sol.

SRU's Dance team dresses up for the occasion and dances to songs that represent the Hispanic culture.

Lindsey Blake says she knows how to salsa dance and also enjoys Fiesta Night because she wants to support her friends.

Students learn how to dance and are able to show off their moves on the dance floor.

A Pittsburgh-based Latino-style band plays some of their hits as entertainment and as dancing music.

As the night carries on, more people take it to the dance floor to show off their salsa skills.
