Slippery Rock's Annual Village Fest back in town

Slippery Rock's annual Village Fest took over main street this past Saturday. The festival featured food trucks, craft vendors, games, and a special section designated for children to play. The Village fest was also a great opportunity for businesses and organizations to raise money.



Community members and SRU students fill the streets for the annual Village Fest, all part of Friends and Family weekend at SRU.


Scott Bradley from Baddazz BBQ company in Pittsburgh fires up chicken on the grill after bragging that his company won "Heinz Field's Best Barbecue" 10 years in a row.


Taylor Cochran and Patrick Freed enjoy a sample of the newest beer from North Country Brewing company.



Dustin Hribal from "Forever Green Farms" in Slippery Rock hands out samples of all natural juice with fruit and spices.

Chris Foster from the Slippery Rock Alliance church takes photos to promote Village Fest and his church located in town.

People gather as a magician performs a show during the noon entertainment hour.

Mayor Jondavid Longo recovers from being dunked in the dunk tanks in efforts to raise money for the Slippery Rock swim team.
